HURGHADA

Day 1: HURGHADA

Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. Departure to Hurghada with Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival, transfer to our hotel for rest. Check-in procedures are completed, and you will have free time to enjoy the facilities of our Hurghada hotel for the rest of the day.

Day 2: HURGHADA

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Luxor. In Luxor, we will explore the west bank of the Nile. In the area known as the Valley of the Kings, you will see the tombs of many pharaohs carved into the mountains. After visiting the temple built for the female Pharaoh Hatshepsut, we will have dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel for overnight stay in Luxor.

Day 3: LUXOR

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, located on the east bank of the Nile. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this temple took centuries to build, with each pharaoh adding to its structure, resulting in the largest ancient building in the world. The temple’s main corridor consists of 134 massive columns, with towering statues, obelisks, sphinxes, worship and burial areas—all of which will impress you greatly. After a short rest at the hotel, we visit another impressive structure in Luxor, one of the most important cities of the Pharaohs: Luxor Temple, which is beautifully illuminated in the evenings. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay in Luxor.

Day 4: LUXOR → CAIRO

Early in the morning, we transfer to Luxor Airport and fly to Cairo in northern Egypt, also known as Lower Egypt (flight times and dates may vary depending on availability). Upon arrival in Cairo, we visit the Giza Pyramids (Great Pyramid of Khufu, Pyramid of Khafre, and the smallest, Pyramid of Menkaure)—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (entrance to the pyramids’ interiors is not included)—and the colossal Sphinx statues with human heads. The Great Pyramid of Khufu was built during the 4th Dynasty around 2560 BC and is approximately 145.75 meters tall. Afterwards, we tour the Egyptian Museum, one of the richest and most famous museums in the world, which also bears witness to over five thousand years of history. Next, we visit the Cairo Citadel, which offers the best panoramic view of the city. On this hill, we see historically valuable structures such as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha (built in the classical Ottoman architectural style) and the Kalawun Mosque. We then visit Egypt’s first Turkish architectural work, the Mosque of Al-Tulun, photographing its impressive details. After the program, dinner is served, followed by return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 5: CAIRO

After breakfast, we start our tour by visiting the City of the Dead, one of the most impressive necropolises in Cairo, and see the tomb of Imam Shafi’i. We then walk along Cairo’s most important street, Al-Muizz Street, examining architectural works from different centuries. These include beautiful Sabil-Kuttabs, massive Mamluk complexes, Ottoman-era mosques with Turkish inscriptions, and historic caravanserais. After exploring Al-Muizz Street, we visit Cairo’s historic Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, the Mosque of Al-Hussein (where the head of the Prophet’s grandson is buried), and enjoy a panoramic view of Al-Azhar University. After completing the program, dinner is served, followed by return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 6: ALEXANDRIA

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Alexandria, one of Egypt’s most important cities for tourism. On a panoramic city tour, we visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the remains of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We then visit the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi and the tomb of Imam Busayri, a great Islamic poet who composed the famous Qasidah al-Burda. We view the Alexandria Library from outside and then move to a local restaurant for dinner. Afterwards, guided free time, followed by gathering and transfer to Alexandria Airport.

Day 7: ALEXANDRIA → ISTANBUL
