Grand Egypt Tour (Departure via Alexandria - Return via Sharm El Sheikh)

We meet at Istanbul Airport and depart at 06:45 on flight TK688 to Alexandria, arriving at 09:00 local time. After being met by our guide we view the Qaitbay Citadel from outside and visit important mosques, including the Mosque of El-Mursi Abu al-Abbas, along with a panoramic look at the Library of Alexandria. We then tour the Royal Jewelry Museum, which displays Ottoman-era art and jewelry. At the end of the tour we drive to Cairo, where we have dinner at a local restaurant before checking into our hotel.

After breakfast our guide leads us to Cairo's iconic sights, beginning with the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization. We then visit the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, among the most magnificent structures in human history, followed by the Papyrus Museum, which showcases ancient Egypt's artistic heritage. In the evening we take a Nile dinner cruise aboard the Nile Crystal, enjoying the city's illuminated skyline over dinner before returning to our hotel.

After breakfast our guide takes us through Islamic Cairo, known for its rich historical fabric. We first visit the Saladin Citadel and the Muhammad Ali Mosque, then the mosques of Imam al-Shafi'i, Amr ibn al-As and Sayyida Nafisa. We continue to the Mosque of Sayyiduna al-Hussein, Al-Azhar University, and the lively Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, stopping along the way for tea at El Fishawy Café, once a favorite haunt of the Turkish poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy. After dinner at a local restaurant we return to our hotel.

After breakfast we set off from Cairo on a full-day tour of the Fayoum Oasis, taking in both history and natural beauty. The visit includes Qarun Palace, the impressive Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, and the historic Qusoor El Arab. We have lunch at a restaurant specially set up in the middle of the desert. In the evening we return to Cairo, have dinner at a local restaurant, and head to our hotel to rest.

After breakfast we set off for Sharm El Sheikh, stopping along the way to visit St. Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest and most striking monasteries in the world, where we see the tombs of the Prophets Saleh and Aaron. We take a short break for a light lunch during the journey. In the evening we arrive in Sharm El Sheikh and check into our hotel, where we have dinner.

After a hearty breakfast we take a glass-bottom boat tour on the clear waters of the Red Sea to observe colorful coral reefs and marine life. After the tour we return to the hotel for lunch, followed by free time at our all-inclusive resort. Those who wish can try an optional dive at the Ras Muhammed Protected Area after a short training session, while the rest of the day can be spent relaxing on the hotel's private beach or by the pool. Dinner is also served at the hotel.

In the evening we visit Soho Square and the Old Market, the heart of the resort's cultural and social life, for shopping and a taste of the local nightlife. After returning to the hotel for dinner we head to the airport and fly to Istanbul at 05:45 on Turkish Airlines flight TK699, landing at Istanbul Airport at 08:35 local time, bringing our Egypt tour to a close.
