Morocco and Andalusia Tour (Marrakech, Seville, Granada)

The group meets at the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport at 9:25 AM and departs on flight TK619 at 12:25 PM for Marrakech, landing at 3:40 PM. After being met by the guide, the group has dinner and stays overnight at the hotel, such as the Ryad Mogador Menara.

After breakfast, a full-day Marrakech tour covers the 800-year-old Koutoubia Minaret and Mosque, the olive-tree-lined Menara Gardens, Bahia Palace, the narrow medina lanes, and, where open, the tombs of Qadi Iyad, Sulayman al-Jazuli, and Abdulaziz al-Dabbagh, followed by a visit to an herbalist selling argan oil and other Moroccan plant products. The group then heads to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, Africa's most animated square and a UNESCO-listed site, enlivened by storytellers, snake charmers, tattoo artists, and acrobats, an 'open-air theater' surrounded by a maze-like market of weavers, blacksmiths, leather tanneries, and woodworkers. Afterward, the group attends the Chez Ali Fantasia Show, featuring dinner, horseback acrobatics, and folk performances, before staying overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, the group travels 245 km to Casablanca; the city tour covers the Anfa district, the Atlantic coastline, and the Hassan II Mosque. They then continue 85 km to Rabat, the imperial capital, visiting the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower, and the city walls. Afterward the group travels 250 km to Tangier. After dinner, they stay overnight at the hotel, such as the Kenzi Solazur.

After breakfast, the group heads to the port of Tangier for the ferry to Spain. Following the route once taken by the commander Tariq ibn Ziyad on his way to conquer Al-Andalus, the group crosses the Strait of Gibraltar to Tarifa in Spain. After a brief moment of reflection, the group travels 210 km to Seville; the city tour covers the Guadalquivir River, the Archive of the Indies building, the Turkish honorary consulate, the Alcázar Palace (from outside), Seville Cathedral (Spain's largest, built on the site of the former mosque) with its minaret-turned-bell-tower the Giralda, the narrow lanes of the Santa Cruz quarter, the old tobacco factory, Plaza de España, and Maria Luisa Park. After dinner, the group stays overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, the group travels 110 km to Córdoba to visit the Great Mosque of Córdoba, built between 785 and 987, one of the finest works of Islamic architecture, which still retains its splendor despite parts being converted into a cathedral after the fall of Al-Andalus. The group then strolls through Córdoba's colorful, flower-lined streets and views the statue of the physician Muhammad al-Ghafiqi. Afterward, they travel 230 km to Granada. After dinner, they stay overnight at the hotel, such as the Gran Hotel Luna de Granada.

After breakfast, the group tours the Alhambra Palace of the Nasrid sultans, filled with art and history, and the Generalife Gardens in an emotional atmosphere. This is followed by a walk through the Albaicín, taking in views of the Alhambra from the San Nicolás viewpoint, visiting the Great Mosque of Granada (opened in 2003, if accessible), and descending on foot through the narrow white streets to the city center. Along the way, the group passes the Caldereria Nueva (known as the Moroccan bazaar), Gran Vía, Plaza Isabel la Católica, Granada Cathedral (built on the site of the mosque after 1492), and Plaza Bib-Rambla. After dinner, the group stays overnight at the hotel, such as the Sercotel Luna.

After breakfast, the group travels 130 km to Málaga. After taking in the city view from Gibralfaro Hill, a short bus tour of the city precedes the transfer to Málaga Airport. Following check-in, Turkish Airlines flight TK1306 departs at 5:55 PM for Istanbul, landing at 11:15 PM.
