Authentic Morocco Tour with Air Arabia, 5 Nights 6 Days

The group meets at Sabiha Gökçen Airport's international terminal and, after ticket, passport and baggage procedures, flies with Air Arabia to Casablanca. After meeting the bus and local guide at the airport, the group continues to Marrakesh, and after breakfast the city tour begins; highlights include the Majorelle Garden, once Yves Saint Laurent's private retreat and one of the finest examples of Moroccan architecture, the monumental Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace with its Moroccan mosaic and woodwork, the Saadian Tombs, and the olive-tree-lined Menara Gardens. After the tour, the group transfers to the hotel with free time to rest; dinner and the overnight stay take place at the hotel in Marrakesh.

After breakfast, the group travels to Essaouira, a small fishing town on the Atlantic coast; once a Portuguese port, this cosmopolitan town, home to Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities, is known for its right-angled medina streets, an example of the era's urban planning, and its long beach, which hosts international windsurfing competitions every year. After breakfast, the group checks out and heads for Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City at the foot of the Rif Mountains, known for its houses and streets painted in various shades of blue. After an early breakfast, the group checks out and travels to Tangier, strategically located where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, facing the Strait of Gibraltar; known for its intellectual and literary history, this multilingual city, where Arabic, French, Spanish and English are all widely spoken, is home to the modest tomb of Ibn Battuta, one of the world's greatest Muslim travelers, tucked away in a street of the medina. After taking in the view of the Strait of Gibraltar from the point where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, the group heads to Tangier Airport; after baggage and ticket procedures, they depart for Istanbul at 6:10 PM on a scheduled Air Arabia flight, landing at 12:30 AM and bringing the tour to an end.
