Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Tour (Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Turkistan)

Turkish Airlines flight TK266 departs at 1:25 AM for Bukhara, landing about 4 hours 5 minutes later at 7:30 AM. After passport and customs formalities and breakfast, the tour of Bukhara's historic center covers the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, the Chashma-Ayub fountain and shrine, the Bolo Hauz Mosque, the Ark Fortress (from outside), the Poi Kalyan complex, the Kalyan Minaret, the Mir-i Arab Madrasa, and Lyabi Hauz. The group then visits the tombs and complexes of Emir Kulal, Shah-i Naqshband Muhammad Bahauddin, and his mother. As the previous night was spent on the plane, this is noted as a tiring day. After breakfast, the group travels 45 km to the town of Gijduvan to visit the shrines of Golden Chain masters Abdulkhaliq al-Ghijduvani, Arif ar-Riwgari, Mahmud Injir-Faghnavi, Ali Ramitani, and Muhammad Baba as-Sammasi, each built in a different architectural style, before returning to Bukhara. After dinner, the group stays overnight at the hotel. Guests who wish may treat the day as free time, arranging their own transport to a restaurant for dinner.

After breakfast, the group travels 280 km overland to Samarkand; since the Bukhara-Samarkand high-speed train schedule does not fit the itinerary, this leg is covered by road. On arrival, the group visits the tomb and complex of Imam al-Bukhari and the Mausoleum of Amir Timur. After dinner, they stay overnight at the hotel, such as the Konstantin Plaza or Savitsky Plaza.

After breakfast, the Samarkand tour includes the Ulugh Beg Observatory, the Tomb of Imam Maturidi, the architecturally unique Shah-i-Zinda shrine, Boulevard Street, the Ulugh Beg, Tilla-Kari, and Sher-Dor madrasas on Registan Square, and the Tomb of Ubaydullah al-Ahrar. The group then boards the Afrosiyob high-speed train to Tashkent at 6:10 PM, arriving about 2 hours 10 minutes later at 8:30 PM. After dinner, they stay overnight at the hotel, such as the Al Anvar.

After breakfast, the Tashkent tour covers the Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, the Barak Khan Madrasa, the Tilla Sheikh Mosque, the Moyie Mubarak Madrasa, the original Quran manuscript from the time of Caliph Uthman, the Imam Mosque, the Kukeldash Madrasa, the Hoja Ubaydullah Ahrar Mosque, the central bazaar, Amir Timur Square, and Independence Square. The group then heads to the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border, crossing the final 500 meters on foot; after customs and passport control, they are met by a vehicle on the Kazakh side and travel 280 km to Turkistan. After dinner, they stay overnight at the hotel, such as the Hampton by Hilton.

After breakfast, the group visits Turkistan, a city on the caravan route that ran from Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva to northern Kazakhstan as early as 500 AD, seeing the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the ancient Turkistan settlement, the old cemetery, the fortress, and the Halvet underground mosque. They then travel 70 km to Otrar, birthplace of the medieval philosopher Al-Farabi, visiting the tomb of Arslan Baba, teacher of Ahmed Yasawi, the archaeological area of ancient Otrar, and the Otrar Museum. The group then travels 250 km to the Chernyayevka border crossing into Uzbekistan, covering the final 500 meters on foot; after customs and passport control, they are met by a vehicle on the Uzbek side. After dinner, the group heads to the airport for the return flight; because of the departure time, there is no hotel stay this night.

After completing check-in and passport control at Tashkent Airport, the group departs on Turkish Airlines flight TK371 at 2:35 AM for Istanbul. The roughly five-hour-fifteen-minute flight lands in Istanbul at 5:50 AM, concluding the tour.
