Ancient Baku, Azerbaijan Tour with Pegasus Airlines

The group meets at Sabiha Gökçen Airport's international terminal at 8:25 PM, three hours before departure; after ticket, passport and baggage procedures, a scheduled flight takes them to Baku, landing at 3:05 AM local time, followed by hotel check-in. After breakfast, the group visits the point overlooking the Azerbaijani National Assembly and the Flame Towers before heading to Martyrs' Lane; a four-minute funicular ride offers scenic views, followed by a seaside walk and a tea or coffee break, with the option to visit the Carpet Museum, the striking Deniz Mall, or ride the Baku Eye Ferris wheel for a view over the city. The day continues in Icherisheher, the Old City that joined the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2000, with a walking tour of the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the Maiden Tower, Juma Mosque and historic caravanserais, ending with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, the group visits the Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, home to a rich collection ranging from classic cars and musical instruments to traditional costumes and models of Azerbaijan's landmark buildings. The group then moves to Nizami Street, Baku's most popular shopping and social hub, where free time is given to buy souvenirs and explore the city at one's own pace. In the evening, the group regroups at a point set by the guide and heads to the famous Shirvanshah Museum Restaurant, both a museum and dining venue, for dinner accompanied by live music and local Azerbaijani cuisine, before returning to the hotel.

After breakfast, the group checks out of the hotel and, with their luggage, travels to Gobustan, 70 km south of Baku, an archaeological open-air museum on the UNESCO World Heritage list; near the Caspian Sea, its carved rock faces and petroglyphs reveal details of prehistoric life and hunting, and the group tours the Gobustan Museum and open-air site. The group then heads to the Absheron Peninsula to visit Ateshgah, one of only three Zoroastrian fire temples in the world, whose flame has burned continuously for centuries, and Yanar Dag, which the traveler Marco Polo called the Land of Fire, a hillside kept perpetually alight by underground natural gas. At the end of the tour, the group has dinner at a restaurant before transferring to the airport.

After passport and customs procedures, the group flies to Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and their arrival marks the end of the enjoyable tour.
